I decided to create another test upgrade this time on the server where the login appears normal:
https://musingsinparticular.com/beta3/a ... /index.php
It is also huge which tells me that the problem must be only with this specific Joomla 3 website install that I want to upgrade to Joomla 5.
So if there is a bug with this install with css for login, what other css bugs could there be? I really don't want to find out later after i upgraded.
I will stop using the muta template anyway but seeing that the css/html from this Joomla 3 website I need to upgrade seems somehow corrupted perhaps it would be better to use a new installation of Joomla 5 and then import the articles and users from the Joomla 3 website into it. Mulling it over...
